Homeschool Freedom 2018 Instagram Challenge
With the recent tragic news in California about abuse by those who also claimed to be homeschooling, there have been some negative and inaccurate representations of homeschooling portrayed. However, we know that this is not the real face of homeschooling.
Homeschool Freedom Instagram Challenge
Join us for the Homeschool Freedom Instagram Challenge, where we’ll take to social media and paint a more accurate picture of loving, good homeschool families! Homeschool Freedom is partnering with Christian state homeschool organizations and homeschoolers across the nation in an effort to flood Instagram with photos of real-life homeschooling.
Starting February 5, post a photo each day on Instagram following the prompts and show the heart of your homeschool! Be sure to use hashtags #homeschoolfreedom and #thisishomeschool on each post to help us all connect with each other, as well as tagging your state homeschool organization if possible!
We invite you to join us as we pray for homeschoolers across the nation during this Instagram challenge. Please share this article on social media and email it to your homeschooling support groups and friends. The more who participate, the greater the impact!
Share the FACTS About Homeschooling and Abuse
When a tragic story breaks of parents abusing their children and using homeschooling and any other means possible as a way to do so, there are always critics who crop up to call for increased homeschool regulations. They conclude that homeschoolers are more likely to abuse their children and need greater oversight by the government.
But we know better.
We know that homeschoolers love their children and educate them well.
We know that abuse happens in all walks of education.
We know that abuse is LESS common among homeschooling.
We know that homeschoolers excel academically and socially.
We hope you join us in the Homeschool Freedom Instagram Challenge to help us celebrate the REAL face of homeschooling!
Please share the following articles everywhere you can. We have the opportunity to help others see and understand the truth about homeschooling and the great blessing it is.
